Yet another sad news from Japan:

The musicologist who has also written about shakuhachi Seyama Tōru passed away 28th September at 11 am local time in Japan. He had been ill for some time.

For people who are in Japan, the all night vigil will take place: 6 pm on 29th September and the funeral service on th 30th September at 11 am.
Both above will take place here:
Kureri Takarazuka Hall (close to Sakasegawa station, Hankyu Line
1-3-28 Nakasu, Takarazuka-shi
Takarazuka-shi 665-0021
In Japanese:
阪急電車 逆瀬川駅近く クレリ宝塚ホール
郵便番号665-0021 宝塚市中州1丁目3番28号
電話番号 0797-78-1811

As Seyama sensei was an important figure in Japanese musicology, I have, on the behalf of ESS, sent flowers for the funeral service.

Let's all play for Seyama sensei.
