Greetings! My name is Ignacio and I'm from Murcia (Spain). I bought my first shakuhachi to a local luthier called Ionut Buruian in Dec 2016 but, until know, I could't start practicing seriously.
It's a Madake bamboo flute built in 1.9ft, so it's C tuned. Everything I've found it's for 1.8 in D, so I don't know exactly how to start and I will be grateful with any advice (I'm learning by ear 'Trail of the Angels', but in C tune, so it's not so sweet as the original).
This is my darling <3
I hope I can be as active as I would like! Aaaaand, excuse my poor English

Whether it's the thing to do so or not, I play everything on my 1.8 and my 2.4 from the same notation. You can make your own alterations as you go along, if you want to, but it's a pleasure to play anyway. Welcome to the beginning of the long road where pleasure always follows pain! PRACTICE. PRACTICE. PRACTICE. AND WHEN IN DOUBT JUST BLOW RO. Enjoy!!
