Bonjour Kerry, Good to see you here! Are you still broadcasting shakuhachi music?

Namaste, Perry

Thanks Perry. Funny you mentioning the old show, I happened to see the program manager for Radio Free Nashville last week in the library. He said the staff really enjoyed it and I would be welcomed back anytime. So, I am thinking about it. I'll have to see about juggling a few schedule things. It was a fun year and I'll want to at least be able to commit to another one. We'll see! Hope all's well with you and the yungens' Wink

I'm sure many listeners appreciated it too! Speaking of music in the workplace. Ralph Samuelson has been teaching in New York City once a week at his student Bette's art loft. After a recent lesson, she commented on how great is was to have live shakuhachi music while painting. Here is a piece from a shakuhachi series.

Nice! Ms. Alexander presents a visceral, yet, refined approach within a distinctive folk-like style. Unrestrained in her narratives, she provides plenty of provocative contemplations of our impermanent nature and the parameters of human interaction, however mundane, whimsical or atrocious. Plus, I like the way the two tsu notes seem to want to fly off the canvas in 'Bird Song' Wink
