The trio Hogaku St. あ。うん (pronounced ahh. oon) will be performing on Friday, August 8th
at Gallery Kimura on Kamiura street, Kumamoto, Japan from 7:30 pm.
Players: Izumi Fujikawa - 13 and 20 string koto
Yumiko Minoda - 17 sting koto and shamisen
Jeff Cairns - 1.6, 1.8 and 2.4 shakuhachi
Pieces: Soran Go (an adaptation of the Kumamoto folk song Soran Bushi and Paul Desmond's Take 5/あ。うん)
Adaptation on a Spanish Theme ( 17 sting koto solo/Yumiko Minoda)
Meikyo (by Seiho Kinea/Yumiko Minoda, Jeff Cairns)
Yomigaeru Itsutsu no Uta (by Hikaru Sawai/koto solo/Izumi Fujikawa with special guest dancer Mayumi Yamada)
My Deer (adaptation of honkyoku Shika no tone/Jeff Cairns)
Drangon Eyes (by Marty Regan/あ。うん)
