Sidenote:

I would like to not that I cannot recommend this shop. Communication was a bit bad and what I have received was of very poor quality. Before I dived seriously into Shakuhachi, i bought a flute here. It was very cheap, but you did not get a Shakuhachi after all. What you get is without naming - a slim piece of bamboo which even cannot play all tunes. Every PVC shakuhachi is better
I bougth the Kinko book there too and this was pretty dissappointing; several paragraphs seemed to be highly inspired by other authors.

If you have a chance to buy somewhere else, I would try the other option.

I fully agree in the case of shakuhachi. I have made the same experience with a flute. I would not call it shakuhachi. The flutehead i bought there was not made by the owner of the shop as the "shakuhachi". Those heads for silver flutes were made elsewhere. Mine was made by a well known firm with reputation. Forgot the name. You have to look what you are buying there. When he acts as a distributor it's ok i think. You can contact him via skype. I have had an interesting one hour talk with him.
