Just a quick update on Alcvin Ramos' Bamboo Roots Pilgrimage 2011.
Tsurugi Kodo and I have the privilage of hosting Al's group of 5 here in Kumamoto
next week for 3 days as we have been doing for the past few trips.
November 7th is set aside for private lessons with Tsurugi sensei.
November 8th is a day-long workshop in damage repair including a couple of more obscure
but very effective repair techniques. We'll fire up the BBQ for a wild boar barbie that evening.
November 9th is set aside for takehori and aburanuki before the group sets off for
the onsen town Yufuin in the central Kyushu highlands.
As always, both Tsurugi sensei and I view this as an excellent opportunity to put the
shakuhachi world into perspective.
