At a recent Muju-an recital in Kyoto, Ronnie Nyogetsu Reishin Seldin-sensei informed me that Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) may be offering free airline tickets to encourage tourism to Japan in the wake of the March earthquake.
At this point, the details are a little vague (it seems JTA is still thinking it over) but we will send on what we know so far. The first JTA link seems to be the most informative:
I hope that this JTA campaign turns out to be true and will enable some of you, who might have difficulty making it, to come to Kyoto next year. We will try to find our more and post any updates as we hear of them.
