Hello all, I am playing shakuhachi and other instruments for the theater performance of Momotaro - Peach Boy at the annual Kodomo no Hi celebration at the Japan Society in New York City.
Sunday, May 6th, 2pm.
From the website: Enjoy Children’s Day with a theater performance introducing classic Japanese stories featuring Peach Boy (Momotaro) and festival-related song and dance. Children will taste traditional snacks (kashiwa mochi) and create their own samurai helmets (kabuto) and carp streamers (koinobori), traditional Children’s Day decorations. (Both boys and girls are welcome to participate.)
Recommended for children ages 3-10 and accompanying adults.
TICKETS Per session: $12/$5 Japan Society members; children ages 2 or under free. Members may purchase tickets for family at the discounted price.
