Dear all,
I will be in Europe teaching for a few months this Summer. Expected dates in Madrid are July 2nd-3rd, Amsterdam July 24th and August 7th, Prague for the Prague Festival in August, also possibly earlier too but dates not yet confirmed. Will be teaching privately in Norway, dates also not yet confirmed. Possibly in Ireland also.

If there are more requests for teaching either privately or in groups, please mail me. As my opportunities to use internet will be short, please include as many details in your mails as possible. If you have requests for teaching, how many of you are there, what pieces or repertoires are you interested in, what pieces you may have studied already (to give me an idea of your level), what notation systems you can read, and where you are, and your phone number if necessary. I may not be able to respond during April. As of now, main dates free are July 4th to July 15th, but some other dates also available.

I have been asked about what pieces I will be teaching. I intend to focus on the following pieces for this trip:

Seien-ryu (Fudaiji temple): Honte Choshi, Shizu, Kyorei (these are suitable for beginners and above)

Taizan-ryu: Takiochi (intermediate)

Kinko-ryu: Takiochi, Sagariha, Hifumi Hachigaeshi, Sanya Sugagaki.

Kyushu: Banshiki (beginners OK), Saji, Azuma, Kumoi Jishi (intermediate)

Kimpu-ryu: Shirabe, Sagariha, and these pieces in 2 other keys - akebono choshi and kumoi choshi (intermediate)

Yokoyama's school (aka "dokyoku"): Tamuke (intermediate), Koku, Yamagoe (advanced).

Fudaiken: Shirabe (intermediate), Reibo (advanced)

Myoan Shimpo-ryu: Honte Choushi, Tehodoki Reiho (intermediate, but in "fu ho u" notation)

If you have specific requests or can either as individuals or groups, please contact me and we can discuss what would be suitable.
More information will be posted here as details are finalized. As I am coming in and out of retreat, I may take some time to respond so please bare with me.

Best wishes,
Justin Senryu

My appologies, Madrid dates are 2nd-3rd July, NOT June. I have edited the original post correcting this.
