Concert, Workshops and Lecture by Jim Franklin, 23-25.11.12
Weltkloster Radolfzell, Bodensee, Germany

On 23-25.11.12, Jim Franklin will be giving a combination of concert, workshops and lectures on the shores of Bodensee, southern Germany

23.11.12, 20:00: Shakuhachi concert (Honkyoku, Kokusai Shakuahchi Kenshukan, and original compositions) in the chapel of Haus St. Elisabeth, Hegne Abbey (Kloster Hegne), Konradistraße 12, 78476 Allensbach-Hegne. Tickets: €12/€8

24.11.12, 10:00 - 14:00: Beginners' workshop, also suited to interested persons without prior playing experience. (Beginners' shakuhachis will be available for loan or purchase.)
Weltkloster Radolfzell, Obertorstr. 10, 78315 Radolfzell
Fee: €40.00

24.11.12, 15:00 - 20:00, and 25.11.12, 13:00 - 17:00: Intermediate/advanced workshop, for players with previous experience in honkyoku. We will be focussing on the pieces Hokyō Kokū (Chikuho) and Sanya (Mountain-Valley, Kokusai Shakuhachi Kenshukan) and technical work.

25.11.12 10.00 - 11.00: Public lecture with musical examples:
„Die Stille Hören: Die Musik der Shakuhachi“ (in German)

The public lecture is included in the fee for participants in the Intermediate/advanced workshop.

Meals and accommodation are not included in the fees. There are many hotels, cafes, restaurants in Radolfzell (http://www.radolfzell.de)
