I was walking down the street in Brisbane last night when I heard a voice shouting, "Brian! Hey Brian!". I turned around and there was a dude in a bus driver's suit who had stopped his bus to give me this salutation. He said, "My name's Steve. I carry a shakuhachi with me on my rounds every day!" I said, "Give me a toot." So he went into the bus and pulled out his shakuhachi and played a few licks. Then I played a bit on it. He said, "I have five shakuhachi. I better get back to work." The passengers watched this entire encounter with befuddled expressions on their faces.
