I have two flutes with this hanko. I was told that the maker was 'Shoho'.
The bottom kanji is the same as the lower character in Masuda Shuho's hanko (see green insert on picture. Taken from a picture on Monty Levenson's web site)

Does anyone have any idea about this hanko please?

Paul, the kanji does indeed say Shooho. The first kanji 'shoo' means good omen and the second kanji 'hoo' (long o sounds) means pheonix. Other than that, I'm not aware of the maker. Hope that helps.

Hi Paul,

Masuda-san was a very popular shakuhachi maker in the Kanto area, he was a friend and co-pardner of John Neptune. He was renown for his repair work on broken shakuhachi. Monty Levenson offers a yearly shakuhachi scholarship to upcoming students, players or makers, he named the foundation in honor of Masuda.
